Schedule Planning Execution follows on from the Foundation training for users of P6 Professional. In this one-day workshop, the delegates will create and assign a baseline, explore the spectrum of methods that can be used to apply progress and reschedule activities with an updated data date. Working in teams and led by an experienced P6 project consultant, the delegates will determine which is the most appropriate method for updating their project and how to use the progress spotlight tool. In addition, the delegates will find out how to suspend an activity, compare current and baseline dates, manage documents using WP’s and Docs and analyse the updated project plan as well as learning how best to report project performance through layouts and reports. They will learn how to analyse the schedule and determine the best option for shortening the schedule when necessary and will be able to produce reports that allow them to manage projects with confidence.

Throughout the workshop, the hands-on labs and exercises will enable delegates to reinforce their learning by creating and updating bespoke, industry-specific project plans according to realistic and relevant scenarios. 

The focus of this workshop is on the execution of the skills learned in the Foundation workshop with an emphasis on updating progress and activities in order to control projects with confidence and create meaningful reports on performance. Applying these P6 features and functions to your organisation’s project management processes will help to ensure optimal outcomes from capital and resource investments. This course uses Primavera P6 Professional Windows-based client/server application. It is appropriate for those using Primavera P6 Professional either as a stand-alone application or as part of P6 EPPM.
